Dr. Tesha M. Thompson’ s interests and passions lie at the intersection of communication, leadership and training, writing, teaching, creation of relevant products and services. She has served the education mountain for more than 23 years as a Modern Languages teacher, a form teacher, a grade nine supervisor, a lecturer, a Teaching Practicum coordinator, a CSEC and CAPE examiner, Jamaica Association of French Teachers (JAFT) Secretary, a panel selector for principals at National College for Educational Leadership (NCEL). Notably, she also has served the system as a textbook reviewer for Ministry of Education (MOE). She has also served the media pillar as a radio programme producer and host, a newspaper columnist, the Director of Editorial and Chief Editor of Jamaica’s lead Kingdom of God newspaper Freedom Come Rain and Raindrops Children’s News Magazine.

Her ten (10) year tenure as a missionary ended in 2019 where she served the Caribbean as Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Coordinator & Child Development Coordinator, raising up leaders on eleven (11) Districts and 24 islands to actively promote community development. She worked to develop people/coordinators, as well as to introduce several programmes and initiatives.

Dr. Thompson currently serves the island of Jamaica and specifically the Parish of St. Catherine as a Justice of the Peace. She has earned her doctorate in Transformational Leadership at Bakke Graduate University, Texas, USA, a Master of Science in Adult Learning from Walden University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Communications, Media and Public Relations, University of Leicester, England, a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation, Diploma in Teaching from Shortwood Teachers’ College, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Spanish with French from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She is a graduate of Ardenne High School where she served as Senior Prefect and Inter Schools Christian Fellowship (ISCF) President in her sixth form years excelling in the Arts at A ‘levels- English, French, Spanish, Psychology and Communication Studies.

CALLED TO PUBLISHING

Her journey to becoming a publisher was confirmed and reconfirmed over a decade. In 2011 when she decided to publish her books Broken for Service and Unequivocally Relevant, she contacted the then Nazarene Publishing House (NPH) now The Foundry Publishing. With no response after several attempts, she searched for local publishers and none to her service. She then decided to self-publish and found the process frustrating as she did not like the outcome and quality of the drafts (images, typeset, page layout etc.).

She drew the conclusion that the process needed a team of experts.

In 2016, outstanding author Ruth Lawrence introduced her to Dusk Jacket Publisher, in Oklahoma, USA. Adam Toler, an outstanding publisher provided very good customer service.

She then introduced extraordinaire authors Chevonette Henry, Janeisha Hill, and Michelle Anderson to Dusk Jacket.

Even though she has written more titles after 2016, she took a break from getting them published to concentrate on family. 

However, in 2021, three (3) persons in the same year approached her to edit and publish their books. This is while in secret, God has been putting same in her spirit (to publish the literary works of others).

So, towards 2021, she believes that God’s instruction to her was “the time is now- 2021 (before 5782) ends”. I (GOD- Yod Hey Vav Hey) am the source and I will provide ALL the resources. Look around and see." The team members were right in front of her eyes and her first customer, was a wife’s surprise…She came to Dr. Thompson without her looking for customers or even overworking. This according to author Shae Bynes, is grace over grind.

So, in obedience, Dr. Tesha M. Thompson, JP has put together a team of experts that would collaborate to publish works that would help to heal humanity and bring glory to God.

My name is P'tako Davis and I have been designing for the past 20 years. I was certified at the Edna Manley College of the Visual Arts.

Designing has always been a love of mine; the thought to create and bring concepts to life. Clients will always know what they want but my job is to bring it to life.

I always try to inspire my clients through my artistic designs. My dream is to always do the best I can to see the client's reaction and satisfaction in the end.

This has been a blessing from God and all glory belongs to HIM. All that I do is through Him and He always brings out the best in my creativity.
